E-commerce will make the 20s roar again
E-commerce has skyrocketed during the covid-19 pandemic, as more and more people do their shopping online. Consumers have truly embraced digital experiences. Once the pandemic is over, and economies start to recover, e-commerce is set to grow even more and revitalize the roaring 20s in another century.

At OrangeDS, a full-service global e-commerce logistics and fulfillment company, they have really felt this new trend in the form of increased business. When covid-19 hit, OrangeDS suddenly had to adapt the supply chain in a paralyzed world with inaccessibility to usual trade corridors and reduced freight capacity in general.

“The last year has just been crazy in every possible way. Since the beginning of covid, we have experienced increased growth and can really see that people have turned to online shopping. However, we were quite troubled, since most planes were suddenly grounded – and our usual way of shipping our customers’ parcels thereby vanished from one day to the other,” says Ross Evans, Vice President at OrangeDS.

Extending the supply chain 
OrangeDS was therefore on the lookout for an extension to their own supply chain and a long-term logistics partner – not just a supplier that could offer single shipments from time to time. The choice fell on LEMAN.
