TRADE LANE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - TRANSATLANTIC sought by LEMAN USA, Inc. in Charlotte, NC.

 

Duties: 

Manage LEMAN’s transportation procurement and pricing from a strategic and tactical perspective; supervise and manage export and Import shipping operations on the TransAtlantic trade routes; manage the following activities: carrier procurement, capacity management, pricing, and supplier performance within the USA; product design on target consolidation lanes; lead negotiations with both core and niche carriers; develop, drive and manage key carrier trade lanes; drive overall volume and profitability growth targets for specific trade lanes; identify bilateral target accounts that meet volume, credit and profitable goals; support existing sales team pipeline as Subject Matter Expert on the trade lane as needed and/or when directed; coordinate any joint sales activities/strategies with overseas colleagues; define and execute pricing/procurement strategy; work on assigned territories to secure new business and deep sell existing customers; coordinate and manage organizational efforts and information by creating professional and effective business proposals; responsible for other duties including sales presentations, developing sales proposals, implementation, creating and adding to existing marketing materials; and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:   

Two (2) years of experience as transport specialist/supervisor, or any related occupation within the European international freight forwarding industry, including experience with supervising and coordinating international freight forwarding logistics services for cargo shipping to European countries; working on industrial hazardous materials handling in European shipping routing, cargo consolidating, port and ground transport coordination; supervising loose cargo consolidation for containers and working out shipping service plans; negotiating with shipping carrier and trucking companies for Scandinavian and Northern European ports loading, unloading cargo, stopover ports transition, and warehousing arrangements; and supervising and coordinating import and export shipping routes following European cargo shipping customs handling and port procedures.
